1. To be a shaman you have to be able to travel to all of the clans, be a decedent of a shaman, and they have to be able to perform magic.

2) Tao knows how to cave paint, he knows how to do some of the magic that Graybeard taught him, and he knows how to mix colors and paints to make brushes for cave painting.
3) Well, Tao is not a wise elder, he does not know how to cure the sick, and the book has not said if he is the son of a leader.

1. Three things you need to be a shaman are to travel to clan to clan, be very wise (elder would help), and you need to be a good artist. Graybread is a good shaman because he is a elder, nice, and wise.

Tao is good at cave painting and that speaks to the spirits of the animals which brings good hunting.
Tao does not know how to cure diseases and doesn’t have heirlooms that were chosen ones.
You must be spiritual, the son of a hunter or a leader and it must be passed on. Some traits that are very helpful are being good at drawing, patient, resourceful, and wise. Tao is very resourceful which is good, and he is good at drawing. Tao isn’t very spiritual and doesn’t like to follow the rules, which is a good thing and a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteOne of the requirements to be a shaman is bringing good luck to hunting by drawing animals on the cave walls. Another requirement is using his magic to heal people. The next requirement is scare away the evil spirits or curses. Lastly, the shaman can help bring forth a child. The character traits would be hard working, wise, caring, and trustworthy. Tao has many of the character traits of a Chosen One. He is hard-working, intelligent, kind, determined, imaginative and brave. These will help him do the job. However, Tao does not follow the strict rules, his mind wanders off frequently, he is overly imaginative.

1. The requirements of being a shaman is to be able to use magic for good, cave paint when the time is right, and to be become one with all of the clans. A few traits that shaman would need is to be respectful of other clans, hard working, and open minded to others. Also I think that a shaman would need to have faith in others.
ReplyDelete2. What Tao has that qualifies to be a chosen one is having a determined passion to become the chosen one. Even though he is not he would be willing to do anything to become a cave painter. Tao has perseverance and resiliency through this whole story even though every body has been denying him to become an image maker.
3. The qualities or traits that don’t qualify to become a shaman are that Tao is a bit impatient, eager, and is not the chosen one. Tao is also very rebellious of the rules and breaks them even though he is no suppose to.
